Fans of Madeleine Wickham, who wrote under the pen name Sophie Kinsella, will be saddened to learn that she has died aged 55 after being diagnosed with brain cancer in 2022.  

She is known for her Shopaholics series.

Maddy, as she was known to everyone, lived in the Parish of Okeford Fitzpaine.
