The Friday Farm Walk

Join us for a guided walk around Bere Marsh Farm, led by Hannah Bosence, a member of our volunteer team, or a guest leader. Learn how we manage meadows, river and floodplain habitats, and how agroecological farming practices support wildlife and benefit the local area.

Saturday 22nd August 2026
Saturday Creative at the Farm

For experienced ‘creatives’ or those at the beginning of their creative journey, these informal sessions let you explore your writing, drawing and thinking skills, and help you form a picture of the wildlife and flowers here, and what we (and you) are doing to support the work of the Countryside Regeneration Trust. Led by Farm estate and community officer Charlotte, each week starts a new theme, and sometimes, we will use real-world information from the wildlife and wildflower surveys undertaken each week by our team of volunteers. No need to book, just turn up on the day.

Thursday 27th August 2026
Moth Tetrapak Printing Workshop

Working in the Threshing Barn at the wonderful Bere Marsh Farm we will take inspiration from the surrounding wild flower meadows which have been rewilded as part of their regeneration projects. We will start the day by taking a gentle stroll to the meadows and gather grasses and seed heads to use in our prints. We will learn all about the process of making cyanotypes to create a set of unique prints that you can take home at the end of the day.

Model Railway Exhibition

Shillingstone Station now has a licence to operate passenger trains. There's a huge amount of work and red tape still to be done but if you can’t wait to see trains running, come along to the model railway event on Saturday 26th September, when more than 14 layouts will be displayed at the station and at Shillingstone Church Centre. There will be a charge for entry to the Centre, which will go towards the station’s maintenance, but entry to the station will be free, though donations are always welcome.
