Sturminster Newton Library will be closed to customers from Monday 3 March and will reopen on Saturday 8 March. The closure is to prepare for the installation of new Extended Access technology which will allow library members to use the facilities beyond staffed opening hours. We hope to launch Extended Access at Sturminster Newton during the spring.
In advance of the closure, customers are able to borrow up to 20 books. All book loans will be extended to ensure no returns are due whilst the library is closed. During the closure, you are welcome to use any other Dorset Library where you can borrow and return books as well as use the facilities.
Your nearest libraries may be Blandford Forum, Sherborne or Shaftesbury, check opening times via our website. Customers can also access our 24/7 online library for e-books, e-magazines and e-newspapers, to view your account and find information about our other services including Dorset Council library opening times.
For further information please visit our website which includes a set of frequently asked questions in relation to Extended Access.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this closure.
