Dear All,

I’m sure you will join with me in offering her Majesty sincere and heartfelt condolences on the death of Prince Philip.

Our flags will be at half mast until the day after his funeral, and tonight at 7.30pm our church towers will ring a bell 99 times to mark the span of his life. 

In each church there will be (from either late today or early tomorrow) a book of condolence. Please remember covid measures and bring your own pen and use the hand sanitiser available.

There will be a special service of Evensong at 5pm this Sunday (11th) at Shillingstone Church. Please wrap up warm as the church is boiler-less at the moment.

God of our lives,
we give thanks for the life of Prince Philip,
for his love of our country,
and for his devotion to duty.
We entrust him now to your love and mercy,
through our Redeemer Jesus Christ. Amen.
