The Parish Council’s purchase of the Old Orchard on Castle Lane was completed today, ensuring the Parish now owns the assets to develop the infrastructure of the parish.
The Parish Council will now begin considering short, medium and long term plans for its use, including the prioritisation of a footpath. It is anticipated that the views of parishioners will be sought over the next few months.
If you want to take a look at it, be aware that it is far from safe for now. It is exceedingly overgrown and there are numerous trees in varying states of decay and collapse. We’d prefer that you keep out until it is confirmed that it is covered by the Parish Council’s liability insurance and it has been made safe for visitors.
