As host venue of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic sailing events, the Weymouth area is an international sport event haven. Situated off the World Heritage Site Jurassic Coast, this race is a first-timer favourite, featuring sandy beaches, spectacular coastline and the stunning Dorset countryside.

Included in the Fippenny News Calendar of Events due to the proximity of the cycling part of the triathlon, which may affect road users.
