Despite being present throughout Britain, in our towns and villages, gardens and countryside, bats have a sense of mystery about them. The only mammals capable of true flight, bats have many other amazing adaptations, a complex social life and face myriad threats due to human activities.
At this free online talk, Mariko will share fascinating facts and curious discoveries about bats – things are always changing as we learn more about these amazing animals. The talk will include an overview of bats around the world with examples of the weird and wonderful lives they lead as well as a more in depth look at the bats we have in Britain, what we know and what we have still to find out!
