Time for the Thruster …

This flying season, join us as we celebrate the rich history of flying, in our Aviator’s Spotlight series! On specified days, we’ll be offering exclusive free landing fees to select aircraft types & designs.

And we’re kicking the season off with the Thruster! The roots of this flying machine reach back to Australia, where the original design (Gemini) was primarily used for sheep-herding. They remain an ever-popular choice in microlight schools, known to be a “student-proof” option due to their agricultural build heritage!

This Saturday, all Thrusters are treated to a free landing fee, as we honour this microlight heritage! PPR as normal, on 01747 811767.

For those coming by road, be advised that this Fly-in is weather dependent. There is no booking required or parking charge in operation. All updates will be made to the calendar page on Compton Abbas Airfield’s website.
