COMPACT is pleased to present the premiere of the original drama “Vintage”. Performances are on the evenings of 18th and 19th October. Tickets are £10 and the show is recommended for audiences of sixteen and over.

“Vintage” tells the story of three long serving charity shop volunteers and what happens when a teenager arrives at the shop to serve a Community Service Order. When threatened with closure they each discover what the shop really means to them and each other. Although primarily a drama, “Vintage” is not without its comedic moments, and promises to be a hugely entertaining evening.

This full-length drama is a new and exciting undertaking for COMPACT, yet still a very community focused enterprise. Those familiar with the biennial pantomimes will know how much COMPACT draws on local talent and “Vintage” is no exception. The entire cast are Child Okeford residents and everyone involved in the production lives within five miles of The Cross.

COMPACT is especially pleased to bring this full-scale theatrical production to Child Okeford Village Hall. We would like to thank the Village Hall committee and regular hall users for their flexibility in facilitating these performances.

About the authors:

John Nash is known in Child Okeford as the author of many of the recent pantomimes produced by COMPACT.

Rik Lonsdale is the pen name of Richard Hewitt, author of three books and many short stories.

“Vintage” is the first collaboration between Rik and John.
