Witness and Dashcam Appeal<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a fatal road traffic collision in North Dorset.<\/strong><\/p>\n Dorset Police received a report at 12.55pm on Thursday 22 August 2024 of a collision involving a blue Yamaha motorbike and a black Audi A6 on the A357 Cook\u2019s Lane near Spire Hill Farm in the Stalbridge area.<\/p>\n Very sadly, the rider of the motorbike \u2013 a man aged in his 20s from the Gillingham area \u2013 was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n Road closures were put in place to allow emergency services to safely deal with the incident and carry out an examination of the scene.<\/p>\n Police Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the traffic unit, said: \u201cOur thoughts are with the family and friends of the motorbike rider who sadly died in this collision.<\/p>\n \u201cI am appealing for any witnesses who saw what happened and have not already spoken to police to please come forward.<\/p>\n \u201cAlso, I am keen to speak to any motorists who captured footage of the incident, or the moments leading up to it, on a dashcam.<\/p>\n \u201cFinally, I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place.\u201d<\/p>\n Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk,<\/a> via email at scit@dorset.pnn.police.uk<\/a> or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55240129616.
