Rector\u2019s Ramblings<\/b><\/h3>\n

The church buildings are closed but The Church<\/b> is very much open.<\/p>\n

Church Worship<\/b><\/p>\n

Worship via Zoom is proving very popular and is a real encouragement in difficult times. We have connected as church for Morning Prayer Tuesday to Friday and numbers have gone from on average 3 when we met in church to 15 online! This has become an important part of the day for many as we hold our NHS, those ill with the virus, our nation\u2019s and our communities\u2019 needs in prayer.<\/p>\n

We also meet for Sunday worship at 10.30am and I have discovered more technological skills than I thought possible. Rather than livestreaming or putting up a pre-recorded video, Zoom enables us to be together in real time, hearing lots of voices reading the lessons and leading the prayers. Those who have been housebound for some time are now able to re-connect with their church community which has been very moving.<\/p>\n

There is lots to look at with new material each week \u2013 for learning, for children, on the parish blog and, on the sermons page, a new audio sermon each Sunday. Thinking about Faith<\/b><\/p>\n

Maybe this strange time has caused you to question faith or want to explore faith: perhaps you\u2019ve been coming to church for a long time but have questions you\u2019ve never dared ask \u2013 now\u2019s the time! I\u2019m always happy to chat through issues and, if there is enough interest, we can always have a Zoom group chat.<\/p>\n
