Join us for a memorable\u00a02 DAY<\/strong>\u00a0Land Rover Weekend at Compton Abbas Airfield<\/strong>, set high in the stunning Dorset countryside. With panoramic views across the Blackmore Vale befitting many a Land Rover and Countryside enthusiast.<\/p>\n

On each day,\u00a0Serve On<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 the international emergency response team, will be lending a hand as marshals and guest hosts to direct you to where all the interesting things are (including food, first aid and the loos!)<\/p>\n

LAND ROVERS<\/strong>\u00a0Bringing together a fantastic mixture of Land Rovers from across the decades, from early\u00a0Series 1<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Series 2<\/strong>\u00a0vehicles through to more\u00a0modern Defenders<\/strong>, each with its own story and character. Among them are working examples such as fire response vehicles, featuring some daily work horses from\u00a0Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Rescue Service,<\/strong>\u00a0alongside lovingly restored classics and well-used enthusiasts\u2019 trucks, showing just how versatile these vehicles have been over the years. The variety makes the display particularly special, as visitors can see the evolution of the design while hearing directly from the people who own and care for them. Creating plenty of opportunity to lean over the bonnets, swap stories, and chat with owners about their vehicles, restorations, adventures, and the shared passion that keeps these iconic Land Rovers on the road!<\/p>\n

Lore of the Sky\u00a0<\/strong>will be serving fantastic food. Sky high flavour where countryside charm meets bold barbecue tradition. Our kitchen, powered by fire and smoke, bringing you rich, slow-cooked dishes packed with character. With menus featuring all the\u00a0BBQ<\/strong>\u00a0favourites and lighter bites to grab and go.\u00a0<\/span>The Smoking Barrels<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0Horsebox Bar\u00a0<\/strong>will all be open and keeping you refreshed, while you stroll around the vendor stands.<\/p>\n

David Vincent<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 JLR specialist parts supplier will be onsite to discuss and cater to all your essential Land Rover items you need to keep your pride and joy in tip top condition.<\/p>\n

All Sweets<\/strong>\u00a0will be returning with a Pop Up\u00a0pick-and-mix sweets<\/strong>\u00a0stall, for all your humbug and sugary jelly needs.<\/p>\n

LIVE MUSIC \u2013 Saturday 27th June will feature acoustic duo Deadwood & Whiskey. While Sunday 28th June, local legend Conor Smith will return with his guitar.<\/b><\/p>\n

Veterans with Dogs\u00a0<\/strong>will have a charity stand raising awareness of the UK\u2019s first Charity organisation training Assistance Dogs for British ex-servicemen and women with service-related mental health conditions.<\/p>\n

The Steamy Pheasant,<\/strong>\u00a0a one-of-a-kind\u00a0mobile sauna<\/strong>, will be on hand to showcase their truly unique wellness escape and talk about all the relaxation and stress relieving health benefits.<\/p>\n

Artful Charlie<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 local renowned sign writer and mural artist will be demonstrating her skills with the chance of booking to have a go on the day.<\/p>\n

The Nowhere Forge \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0travelling blacksmith, Simon, will be firing up his mobile forge! Bringing skills, ancient and new, to demo his work live. There will be hand crafted metal work to buy and bookable courses. One the day you can even get the opportunity to try your hand at blacksmithing.<\/p>\n

Activity and arts<\/strong>\u00a0table for our younger guests to enjoy while their parents talk mechanics and adventures (!)<\/p>\n

Whether you are an LR invitee displaying your vehicle, a visitor looking to meet fellow owners, or simply soaking up the Dorset scenery, it\u2019s a fantastic opportunity to experience great vehicles, great company, and one of the most scenic airfields in the South West.<\/p>\n

Photographers<\/strong>\u00a0will be on site over the course of the weekend, so your Land Rover may catch their eye and get a photo shoot opportunity. Please speak to them directly on the day for more details.<\/p>\n

CAR PARKING \u00a310 \u2013 make sure to choose the same date as your tickets!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Visitors\u00a0COMING BY ROAD<\/em>\u00a0a Car Parking ticket\u00a0must<\/em>\u00a0be booked along with entry tickets as we are limited on space due to the nature of the site; CAR PARKING ticket\u00a0redeemable against the 1st purchase of food and drink from Lore of the Sky to the same value or greater.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Visitors\u00a0COMING BY AIR<\/em>\u00a0must also purchase a ticket for the event \u2013 but can pay on the day at Main Ops.<\/p>\n
